Born and raised in North Carolina, he has been entertaining since dj'ing elementary parties in the 8th grade. After he graduated from high school, he attended North Carolina A&T State University where he studied broadcast production and business. He successfully got the afternoon drive shift at his college station after only one year of college. As well as being on his college station, WNAA, he was the head DJ at the hottest club in the city. For four years, he ran the college circuit when the opportunity came for him to get on the town's biggest urban station, 102 JAMZ. In 1989, he went from college DJ to mainstream commercial radio personality. 102 JAMZ was the town's new powerhouse station. You name it he did it. In six years, he went from doing telephone research and working part time on air, to being Greensboro's hottest night jock, club jock, and music director. February 14th 1995, Valentine's Day, Bushman hit the airwaves in Detroit at WJLB. He was a scared country boy training to take on the big city with his bushy style. It only took a few months before he was a household name. In 8 and a half years he has managed to stay #1. The hip-hop community respects him, kids love him, and clients work him to endorse their products. He has represented clients from Coca Cola, Reebok, and Disney to LA Weight loss who helped him loose over 100 pounds. Bush in 2002 made his big screen debut in the Universal hit movie "8 Mile" where he played himself. Since then he appeared on MTV, E! True Hollywood Story for Eminem, And 1 Mix Tape on ESPN, B.E.T., Access Hollywood, The BBC, Entertainment Tonight, Channel 4 WDIV, FOX 2, and several documentaries all over the world. Bushman has also done several straight to DVD projects, Street Life and Rap Files. He also made a cameo in the independent film "Brewster Projects" and played a Jamaican gang leader in "Innocent By Standers."
